We got great value for our money at Hirafu Tomten. The room was surprisingly spacious for Japan and the location was convenient, with a shuttle taking us to Hirafu Village and being within walking distance to the main town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Nicole who gave us fantastic tips on onsens and things to do in Hirafu.

The breakfast selection could have been better, with some items running out before the stated time and not being restocked.

Mind-blowing location with jaw-dropping mountain views. Super comfortable and beautifully designed rooms with all the necessary amenities like a heater, water heater, and automatic toilet. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing a delicious breakfast, free off-site car park, and free shuttle service to the ski slopes. The on-site ski storage made it convenient for our skiing adventures. The facility also had a flat-screen TV, lift, laundry, and a locker room. We also appreciated the 24-hour security and the no-smoking policy on site. Plus, the extensive recycling system for waste management was commendable. No pets allowed, but honestly, that wasn't a problem for us. The 5-minute walk to the nearest bus stop made exploring the area easy. our stay was simply superb!

The ski lodge had mind-blowing facilities, with a super spacious locker room for ski gear storage. The homemade bread for breakfast was delicious. The location was conveniently close to the ski bus stop and within walking distance to the skiing area. Nicole, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing GREAT recommendations for restaurants, cafes. The place was impressively clean and tidy, with fantastic bathroom facilities. The staff were lovely and having a car made it easy to explore the area. The off-site parking was plentiful and loading/unloading snowboards was a breeze. The ventilated and heated storage space for gear drying was jaw-dropping. Additionally, the tasty breakfast, comfortable room, and 24-hour security added to an overall amazing stay. No pets were allowed and smoking was not permitted on-site. The free shuttle service, flat-screen TV, lift, laundry, and Wi-Fi were also convenient amenities.
